Yes indeed!! So many people don't know the utter awesomeness and true meaning of mountain biking! Most think it's merely going 'off-road' along a gravel path :') poor souls!

Love that quote from Claw. The greatest day in the history of mountain biking was..."the day you started riding one". What a cool positive message. Everybody gets a little something different out of riding, and everyone has a little different perspective on it.

I really like Claw's attitude and outlook on life. He's positive, civil, and respectful of both young and old. He'll never say anything negative about anyone/anything. I wish there were more people like him walking around in the world. Definitely someone to look up to.

A little interesting that 2 of these guys value their freedom as one of the three things they want to keep no matter what, but basically flip the armed forces the bird. How do you think you got that freedom? I'm no crazy right winger, but it just seems ungrateful.

I think there's a big disconnect between valuing freedom and respecting veterans versus the wars that are fought today. Most Canadians feel very passive and anti-war these days but we were dragged into it grace à the USA. I'm not saying that only negative has come from this war but it's cost a lot of money and been very invasive and sensationalist... freedom=/=war. I don't think they're being ungrateful....

flag dualsuspensiondave (Jan 27, 2012 at 16:34)
I don't see that as ungrateful at all. My father and his twin brother fought in Vietnam. Neither one of them want me to join the military. As I am very grateful for all the people that fight for our freedom, I also would not fight for corrupt politicians and people that don't appreciate it. I do not believe in killing people either.

I've heard this one a few times, "So...you ride a bike...down a hill? That sounds pretty easy. You don't even have to pedal." Or some other variation of that nonsense.

I enjoy my freedom... With that said, I would rather not join the army, I'd rather be a free spirit but I have the up most respect for anyone who serves as they are defending our freedom. These guys probably have never lost a freind or family member serving, if they had I seriously doubt they would make such lo-blows to those that do serve.

flag genericmk (Jan 27, 2012 at 12:27)
The military is a voluntary thing. So no one has to fight these days. There is no Hitler, no Stalin and the closest thing to it right now is the American Military Industrial complex. Freedom does not equal military involvement. These days the wars are for the natural resources (business) not freedom; businesses benefit, taxpayers and the military personnel front the bill and suffering (as well as countless civilians). Opting to participate is just a job; the fact that you put your life on the line, makes it a very unsafe job.

Not trying to start a pissing contest here. Hitler/Stalin were some pretty evil dudes, and there are lots of evil people out there still. I think our countrys are trying to give these poor saps a shot at a genuine life, perhaps there are resources out there... But I've been to Afghanistan twice. I didn't see pumpjacks or Mineral mines. Just mountains and dust. It would break my heart if Canada was just in it for personal gain. However I believe there not. Just trying to defend a flock of people how are being taken advantage of. I have no clue what has gone on in Iraq can't give my two cents there. Anyway I'm just glad I got to keep my legs and arms so I can still go for a rip on my bike!

talk about a missed opportunity for Taylor Sage!! I know the first two riders' names very well for a reason: their riding and they handle themselves well as pros....and their responses to something as simple as a little fun piece like this reflect that. i cant believe that knowing his answers would be shown next to these big names he didnt try and come up with something more clever

Does anyone know how claw carries his bike on his back when he's climbing hills? I tried it and it was so much easier than pushing it, its just a mission trying to get it up onto your back in a place where it is easy to hold...
